Biography:
Nathan Summers, better known as Cable, is a complex figure in the Marvel Comic universe. Born to Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor (a clone of Jean Grey), his life was marked by tragedy early on.
As a baby, he was infected with a techno-organic virus by Apocalypse. To save his life, he was sent to the future, where he could be cured and raised to eventually confront Apocalypse.
Cable returned to the modern age as a grizzled warrior from the future, wielding advanced technology and possessing potent telepathic and telekinetic abilities. His primary mission was to prevent the dystopian future he came from. His first appearance was in *The Uncanny X-Men* #201 (January 1986).
Throughout the Modern Age, Cable has been a leader and mentor to various mutant teams, most notably the X-Force, and has frequently teamed up with Deadpool in various comic book titles.
